The CarbonCost Calculator is a website that calculates the cost of embodied energy in building construction, giving an approximate dollar value for the cost of purchasing Carbon Credits to offset the energy used to produce the materials used, transport them to the site, and then construct them into a particular design.

The calculator was written in ASP and runs on a Microsoft web server. The website consists of a wizard interface to collect user and building information, then the user pays via a 3rd party payment gateway, and the calculation is performed.
