Internet Mapping Framework extensions

Client: The State of Victoria

The Internet Mapping Framework (IMF) is a web-based mapping application developed in British Columbia by MoxiMedia that provides a view of ARCMap map services. Stock Software developed extensions to this application in areas that were requested by the Department of Sustainability and Environment - Fire Management, the Department of Primary Industries, Crown Land Management. These areas include:

  • making the print options (page size, quality, scale) customisable
  • devloping a custom query framework for querying map layers
  • developing a query builder to allow freeform queries
  • devloping a PDF generator that is controlled by XML design elements
  • adding data to the identify function from map layers or external data sources
  • adding data to the PDF print pages from map layers or external data sources
  • extending the configuration to control these extensions in XML

The application has a JSP front end with additional Java servlets. It is hosted on Tomcat.
